The Copper River Band

The Copper River Band is redefining the sound of the Last Frontier by replacing the traditional, quiet acoustic tropes of the Alaskan music scene with a colossal stadium-rock sound. While Alaska has long been associated with intimate folk and bluegrass circles, this four-piece powerhouse from Homer, Alaska, delivers a thunderous alternative. They fuse rock n roll, alt and alt-country, into massive sonic landscapes that feel even larger than the state itself.

The Powerhouse Lineup
Behind this wall of sound is a tightly knit crew of seasoned musicians who weaponize electricity, volume, and raw energy to command attention on any stage:
   •    Jacques Longpre (Lead Vocals & Guitar): Cuts through the mix with a gritty, gravel-toned vocal delivery and driving rhythm work that anchors the band’s grand scale.
   •    Taylor Scott (Guitars & Vocals): Unleashes massive, soaring guitar solos and sharp hooks that give the band its distinctly large, arena-rock edge.
   •    Brandon Head (Bass): Lays down heavy, rumbling basslines that supply the deep, muscle-bound groove necessary to fill wide-open spaces.

•    Ashley Moore (Drums & Percussion): The thunderous engine behind the kit, driving the band's trademark foot-stomping rhythms and high-octane tempo.

Studio Scale: Bigger Than the Landscape
In the studio, The Copper River Band resists the standard, stripped-back acoustic setups favored by many regional acts. Instead, their tracks rely on layered electric textures, aggressive analog warmth, and big choruses. Singles like “Murder on a River” and “XOXO” capture rugged, local narrative storytelling but elevate it with catchy guitar riffs and thick, rock-driven production engineered for major speakers.

Shaking the Tundra: The Live Experience
Where the band truly shatters the mold is on stage. While other local shows feature a quiet, seated crowd, The Copper River Band turns venues into high-energy, community celebrations. They bring their stadium-sized presence to major regional gatherings like the Levitt AMP Soldotna Music Series at Soldotna Creek Park, the Seldovia Summer Solstice Music Festival and Homer HarborFest. Whether shaking the crowd at the Kenai Peninsula Beer Festival or headlining a massive Fourth of July community celebration  their live sets prove that their sound cannot be contained by four walls or a quiet wilderness!
